THE GREENWAY CAMPAIGN

Email this page

The City of Hopewell recognizes that it has a responsibility to enhance and preserve the James and Appomattox Rivers, the Chesapeake Bay, and the environment as a whole now and for future generations. That, combined with the increasing need for sustainability in government, because of the continued rise of energy and other operating costs; led City Council to pass a “green” resolution in August of 2008.

See the Full Resolution

This resolution authorizes participation in VML’s (Virginia Municipal League) Go Green campaign, and empowers City employees to use whatever means available to promote environmental and fiscal stewardship and leadership through energy management, resource conservation, and community awareness ion the City.
